Hongcun Xidi et

Hangzhou After we went to Tunxi, a large town at the foot of the mythical Mount Huangshan . Unfortunately a depression climate was right to us and we decided not to climb the famous mountain. We went to visit two villages, however, traditional style Huizhou not far from it. We spent the night in Tunxi, building on its traditional street transformed into a shopping street and many souvenir shops fill the old houses.

The next day we went to Hongcun . Hongcun is a small village built on the banks of a river and a crescent moon around another smaller pool shaped like a half-moon. The city has great charm and preserved its character. Before leaving the village, we witnessed a strange spectacle. Crossing the bridge over the river bordering the village we saw a crowd of villagers engaged in fishing has using dip nets and plastic containers, trout out of water.

Not far, another traditional village style Huizhou Xidi . Xidi is equally interesting that Hongcun. Both are classes at Heritage UNESCO World, and are very well preserved. Xidi was, since its creation in the XI th century, a stronghold of the various empires that ruled the local area. Magnificent houses that can be visited today were built by merchants who made a fortune.
